Outstanding Dance Educator Award
National Dance Education Organization
This year, I was honored with the National Dance Education Organization’s 2018-2019 Outstanding Dance Teacher in Higher Education Award. This award acknowledges a stellar dance educator higher education. The recipient has an outstanding record of teaching dance as an artistic discipline and success developing, supporting, implementing, and/or promoting dance and dance education in their community. Outstanding Dance Educator Award recipients supports a collaborative democratic classroom environment, supporting student-centered classroom experiences, experiential work and holistic, authentic approaches to teaching dance. A significant honor I am humbled by the support of the professional dance education community.

UNCG Online Award for Excellence in Online Learning - Nomination
The UNCG Division of Online Learning facilitates this annual award to honor a faculty or staff member who has demonstrated excellence in developing, supporting, and/or teaching of online courses and programs at UNCG. The objective is to showcase outstanding teaching and to recognize development and support efforts that create engaging online learning experiences. The ultimate goal of this recognition is to promote innovation and improve the quality of UNCG online courses and programs.
